Therapeutic Riding
People have been riding horses for recreation and fun for centuries.  In addition to taking you from point A to point B, horses are great companions. Riders at Pray Road Stables range in age from 7 to 65.  Therapeutic Riding Lessons are entertaining, safe, paced to your level of comfort, and exhilerating.

Who can learn to ride?
Children (ages 7 and up), men and women.  People with Autism and other emotional challenges can learn to ride at Pray Road Stables.

What about the physically handicapped?  Many people with various kinds of physical handicaps enjoy riding, however, PrayRoad Stables is not equipped for physical handicaps.

What else do I need to know?

Clearance from Doctor:
Some people may need to receive clearance from a doctor before beginning riding lessons.

What should I wear?
Riders should come to lessons prepared for the weather.  Their attire should include jeans, sweat pants, or traditional riding britches; no shorts or capris permitted.  Riders are required to wear boots or sturdy shoes with a small heel and socks that reach the middle of the calf.  They may wear sneakers with Toe Stoppers (provided by PRS).  All mounted activities require a helmet (ASTM approved).  Riders can bring their own helmet or use one of the Stable's helmets.  Riders with long hair should be prepared to pull back their hair for the lesson.  No dangly earrings or jewlery.

Weight limitations:  In consideration for the horse's size and strength, they can accomodate riders up to 180 pounds.
